How to get more Google reviews with a QR code

11 July 2026 · 4 min read

Most customers are happy to leave a review. What stops them is the search: opening Maps, finding the right listing, scrolling to the review box. A QR code deletes all three steps.

Get the right link

Google gives every business profile a short review link that opens the rating dialog directly. You can also start from a Place ID or a normal Maps link — a good generator resolves all three into the same review destination.

Test it on your own phone before printing. The correct link opens the star selector immediately, not the business listing.

Put it where the moment happens

Ask at the peak of goodwill: on the bill tray, at the counter after a good interaction, or in the box with a delivered product. A small card with the code and one sentence outperforms an email sent three days later.

Print-ready formats help: an A5 poster for the wall, a table tent for the counter, a sticker sheet for packaging.

Track what works

If the code is dynamic you can see how many people scanned it and from where, which tells you whether the counter card or the bill tray is doing the work. Move the card, watch the number.
